This clean and contemporary home sits atop a private lot at The Gap with sprawling views over North Brisbane through to Moreton Bay. The home was designed by Lifestyle Building Design with direction from the client who wanted a warm, sleek family home. There are four bedrooms complete with parents’ retreat, walk-in robe and home office.

 

The largest challenge during construction was the steep elevated site with 800m unpaved driveway and huge slab size. The client did not want stumps so the cut and fill was enormous - our team removed 150,000 cubic metres of rock before they could pour the slab.

 

Three large 22,000L water tanks provide all water to this home making it completely self sufficient. The cosy living room features a sunken lounge and Realflame fireplace. The client has a keen eye for decorating and chose all interior features and furnishings herself including the stylish kitchen, Brett’s architectural windows and the contemporary rectified-edge tiles.
